We were discussing something, my boss and I, and we disagreed about an idea my boss had. I thought it was an unnecessary burden we really didn’t have time for then. He really wanted it. Still, I managed to convince him, hurray! Only … A week later, I found out he had started on it anyway.

I applied for a job at one of the organizations related to this whole unholy pandemic situation. It was an office job, not anything frontline, but actually, it was related to the pandemic. Naturally, being in this field and in the midst of the pandemic, they invited me for a good old fashioned in-person interview.

The examples we set, the monsters we create

I had a conversation with my boss. I don’t remember what it was about, exactly, but in the midst of it, he indirectly suggested that it would be better if I started staying at work longer. I wasn’t setting a good example because I usually left between 16.30h and 17h, which was an abomination, apparently (not his words, exactly, of course).

Take my credit, but you can't break me

During the standup, my boss spoke up. He told everyone about the Great Initiative we were starting, as was proper. It was great and it was important. What wasn’t great and what wasn’t proper (but it turned to be very important) was that he presented it as his initiative and his alone, which, as far as telling the truth goes, was very much not it.
